Geoff Stockton, 34 years old, is a
professional musician with 23 years of guitar experience and ten years of music teaching experience. He has played with many bands of various styles including rock, blues, jazz, Latin, funk, soul, country and bluegrass. He's also a composer of classical pieces and a producer of electronic music.
He has played on bills with artists such as Mickey Dolenz, Lou Graham, Maceo Parker, the Rippingtons and he served briefly as a guitarist for Robert Bradley. While remaining largely self-taught, Geoff Stockton is known amongst his professional peers as well as the YouTube jazz guitar community as something of a guru in the areas of theory, composition and improvisation.
He is currently authoring an instructional series of guitar books as well as educational jazz material for all instruments. Dozens of jazz improvisation lessons of his can be found on his YouTube channel, and home recordings are available on MySpace.
Michael Siegel of Kalamazoo, Michigan, has been building and
repairing guitars, mandolins, ukuleles, and various other fretted stringed instruments since 1989. A guitar player since early childhood, the construction of guitars has always been a passionate interest. After playing many fine guitars, he took a keen interest on what made them play so nice and sound so good. After reading every book he could find and exploring how to obtain tools and materials, he embarked on an acoustic steel string guitar fashioned after his beloved Martin D-18. That guitar exceeded his expectations and he has been hooked on crafting instruments ever since.
